Derek Walsh RSA

Derek Walsh has joined global insurer RSA as its new general counsel.

In his role Derek will be responsible for leading the legal, group secretarial and group regulatory risk and compliance teams. He has over 15 years’ experience in the industry and was group general counsel at Benfield Group Limited. More recently, Derek was acting general counsel at the Argo Group. He has also held positions at Pinsent Curtis (now Pinsent Masons), McKenna & Co (now CMS Cameron McKenna) and Norton Rose.

Commenting on his appointment, Derek said: “I’m delighted to be joining RSA. The company has a unique heritage in the insurance industry and a global reach.”
