New country managing partner in Norway

Camilla Wollan has been appointed country managing partner (CMP) at DLA Piper in Norway from 1 July 2024. Camilla will lead the company’s Norwegian and Nordic leadership management teams, covering offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Aarhus and Helsinki, and more than 530 lawyers.

Camilla joined DLA Piper in 2010 and is now responsible for implementing the firm’s growth strategy across all business areas in the region.

She said: ‘I am looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and taking on the task as CMP at DLA Piper Norway.

‘Several industries and sectors will change in the coming years. The winners will be the law firms that manage this transition. This applies both to how we work as advisors for our clients, how market-oriented we are, and how we work with the organization and competence development among our employees.

‘New technology and fast-growing sectors like hi-tech, fintech, bitcoin and disruptive industries are something that I enjoy working with. At DLA Piper, we will have a strong presence in these growing sectors of the future.’

Hans Christian Brodtkorb, partner and chairman at DLA Piper Norway, said: ‘It’s great to have Camilla Wollan as our captain on deck and new country managing partner in Norway. We have clear ambitions for growth in the Norwegian market in the coming years.

‘Camilla has actively worked with clients in new sectors such as crowdfunding, blockchain technology, virtual currency, and digital assets, as well as with traditional financial services.’

Camilla receives the baton from Kjetil Haare Johansen, who has been the CMP at DLA Pipe Norway since 2021. Over the past three years, the company’s revenue has grown by more than NOK 100 million.
