Firm recruits counsel to its global international arbitration group
Bryan Cave LLP has strengthened one of its key practice areas, international arbitration, with the addition of experienced arbitrator and advocate, Domenico Di Pietro. Domenico joins as counsel from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Tokyo where he had been transferred for a secondment to a Japanese client based there. Initially based in London, Domenico will be travelling extensively between Bryan Cave’s offices in the UK and the US.
Domenico has a wealth of experience in arbitration, having represented major corporations and sovereign states in international commercial and investment treaty disputes, both ad hoc and those administered by institutions. He has just returned to Europe after two years in Tokyo where he dealt with a wide range of arbitrations in a variety of sectors, including construction, energy and financial services.
Domenico is also highly regarded for his academic contribution to international arbitration, lecturing and writing extensively on international commercial and investment treaty disputes.
Qualified to practice in England and Wales as well as in Italy, Domenico is fluent in English and has working knowledge of French and Spanish in addition to his native Italian.
