DWF—Chris Spelman

London dispute resolution team expands with partner hire

DWF has appointed Chris Spelman as a partner in its dispute resolution department in London. He joins the firm with more than a decade of experience advising banks, corporates and senior individuals on complex litigation, regulatory matters and investigations across the UK and US.

Spelman specialises in financial services litigation and investigations, whistleblowing matters, and class action, securities and shareholder disputes. Before joining DWF, he worked at Slaughter and May in London and at Milbank LLP and Cravath Swaine and Moore LLP in New York.

Commenting on his appointment, Spelman said: ‘DWF’s collaborative culture, multidisciplinary approach and ambitious growth strategy were central to my decision to join.’ He added: ‘I’m delighted to be part of a team that combines technical excellence with an entrepreneurial spirit.’

Stefan Paciorek, global head of dispute resolution at DWF, described Spelman as ‘an accomplished disputes and investigations lawyer with broad experience in financial services litigation, regulatory investigations, and class actions’. He added: ‘His expertise and strategic approach are valuable additions to DWF.’
