DWF has appointed Don Brown as a partner in its finance and restructuring team in London, reinforcing its banking and finance capabilities. Don brings 20 years of experience advising on asset-based lending, receivables finance, trade finance and structured transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers across complex cross-border deals.

Don joins from Stephenson Harwood and has held senior in-house roles at GE Capital Bank, GMAC Financial Services and Swiss Re Capital Markets. His background gives him a strong commercial edge and insight into client expectations. ‘I am delighted to be joining DWF at such an exciting time… and to help clients achieve their strategic goals,’ he said.

Iain Shurwood, global head of finance and restructuring, welcomed the appointment, noting: ‘His expertise in asset-based lending and speciality finance… will be a valuable addition to our team.’ Don’s arrival reflects DWF’s continued investment in high-demand areas and its commitment to delivering integrated legal and business services.
