Firm bolsters its tax offering with double hire

London firm Edwin Coe has announced the expansion of its tax team with the addition of two new names.

Andrew Terry joins the firm as corporate tax partner after more than seven years at Withers LLP. He offers over 33 years of practice in the corporate tax field. His experience covers tax advice relating to transactional matters, as well as international corporate tax structuring and trust and asset protection.

The second new addition, Elena Solovyeva, is qualified to practise in Russia and is currently undertaking her UK qualification. She has worked alongside Andrew for five years in the Withers office, and is highly experienced in offering tax advice relating to Russian law. Her areas of focus include probate and succession issues, Russian litigation and bilateral investment treaties.

The head of Edwin Coe’s tax practice Frank Strachan said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Andrew and Elena to the Edwin Coe tax team. They bring to the firm a new in-house capability for corporate tax advice and a wealth of expertise of advising in the Russian/CIS market to sit alongside our established tax dispute resolution, international personal tax advisory and tax compliance teams.’
