It’s time for aspiring barristers to take up their pens, as the Bar Council’s annual Law Reform Essay Competition has opened this week. Running for over a decade, the content is open to anyone undertaking their academic or vocational training for the Bar, and aims to foster interest in law reform. A total of £10,000 prize money is on offer, with £4,000 for the winning essay. Individuals who are interested in applying for the 2019 competition can find the rules and application form here; completed essays and forms should be submitted via email by Friday 29 September.
