Excello Law has strengthened its intellectual property, dispute resolution and commercial property teams with three new hires.

Gerard Cronin specialises in intellectual property and commercial dispute resolution with particular experience of international trade and fraud disputes, ICC arbitrations and multi-jurisdictional intellectual property disputes. Admitted as a solicitor both in England and Hong Kong, he trained at Denton Hall and was a partner at Shook Hardy Bacon before establishing his own practice. He advises on intellectual property enforcement, protection and exploitation strategies. He has significant experience of reputation protection issues and obtaining and enforcement of injunctions worldwide.

Mark Hessel is an experienced commercial litigator with particular expertise in property disputes, both commercial and residential. He joins Excello Law from EMW where he was a partner and head of the property litigation department. Mark was part of a four-person lead team in relation to the notable Wembley Stadium litigation, and in 2012 successfully took a new point of law to the Court of Appeal in Frozen Value Ltd v Heron Foods Ltd creating a new interpretation and methodology of calculation of the "5 year rule" of who the competent landlord can be when wanting to dispute the tenant’s rights in a commercial lease renewal.

Donna Gloudon is a specialist property lawyer with expertise in all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions including innovative multi-jurisdictional development and investment transactions, infrastructure projects, associated structuring, property management and funding in the UK and offshore. She has previously worked for top 3 and top 20 City law firms.
