Faegre Baker Daniels

Firm welcomes pair of finance experts

Global firm Faegre Baker Daniels has bolstered its London practice with two senior hires, Ed Marlow and Nicola Ezra, who have joined the firm’s financing and restructuring practice as counsel.

Ed and Nicola have both moved to the firm from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. Ed has more than 30 years of experience in banking and finance matters, particularly cross-border transactions, restructurings and project financings. His prior roles have included spending two years as the head of the Hong Kong banking practice at a major London firm.

Nicola offers a wealth of experience in international finance transactions. She focuses on debt finance, including syndicated, project and leveraged finance deals, as well as international trade and export finance, corporate banking and debt restructuring. Her previous experience includes acting as in-house counsel with a European investment bank and senior finance counsel for a Central and Eastern European TV and broadcasting group.

In addition to Ed and Nicola’s arrival, the firm has also welcomed Enis Hallaҫoğlu as a paralegal in the finance and restructuring group. Partner and head of the London office Alex Denny commented: ‘I am very pleased to welcome both Ed and Nicola as counsel to Faegre Baker Daniels’ London office, along with Enis as a paralegal. They will be valuable additions to our finance and restructuring offering and join a raft of other hires in the past few months. These appointments reflect the firm’s continuing commitment to expansion both through key external hires and investment in our considerable home grown talent.’
