Fieldfisher—Mark Shaw

Veteran funds specialist joins investment funds team 

Fieldfisher has appointed Mark Shaw as a partner in its investment funds team, part of the financial markets and products practice. He joins from Pinsent Masons and brings more than 20 years’ experience spanning in-house roles at alternative asset managers in the hedge fund and private credit sectors, as well as private practice.

Shaw advises on the structuring and distribution of regulated and unregulated funds across the liquidity spectrum, alongside sustainable finance disclosure regulation compliance. He has acted for a broad range of asset managers, from start ups and spin outs to banks and global institutions, and is admitted in England & Wales, Ireland and Luxembourg.

Emma Spiers, partner in the financial markets and products practice, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Mark to the firm.’ She added that ‘Mark’s breadth of expertise … combined with his deep knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks, fund distribution and sustainable finance, will be a major asset to our clients and the wider firm.’
