Finders International—Probate Research Firm of the Year 2022

UK probate genealogy company wins big at Probate Research Awards

Probate Genealogy company Finders International, founded by heir hunting entrepreneur Danny Curran, was recently awarded Probate Research Firm of the Year at the Probate Research Awards (PRAs).

The award was presented to BBC Heir Hunter regular, Danny (pictured, left), live in London by criminal barrister and television personality, Rob Rinder MBE (pictured, right). This is the fourth time Finders International has won Firm of the Year. They also won a number of other awards, including Best Probate Paralegal for case manager, Adam Dean.

Finders won the awards' highest accolade at the event in recognition of it's work across 'heir hunting', also knows as probate research—the process of tracing family members to estates to which they often had no idea were legally entitled to.

Geoffrey Odds, company secretary of the International Association of Professional Probate Researchers and Genealogists (IAPPR) commented: 'These awards bring attention to what has been seen as a little known or easily understood industry until now. The breadth of firms from legal, paralegal, research, to deputyship and household clearance makes up what has become a dynamic and fascinating industry—telling complex and often incredible stories of families through generations.'
