Fletchers Solicitors has appointed Lisa Lunt and Sarah Samuel as partners in its expanding clinical negligence and product liability team. The move reflects the firm’s commitment to strengthening its expertise in complex claims involving defective medical devices and products.
Lisa Lunt (pictured) joins from Pogust Goodhead, where she was head of medical product liability. With over two decades of experience, she has led major group actions involving transvaginal mesh, hormone pregnancy tests, and Essure contraceptive devices. She said she is ‘excited to bring my experience to a firm with such a strong reputation in this field’.
Sarah Samuel, also from Pogust Goodhead, brings a background in healthcare litigation and strategic case leadership. She previously supervised the department and worked closely with Lunt on high-profile claims. ‘I’m looking forward to helping grow the team and continue advocating for those affected by faulty medical products,’ she said.
Adrian Denson, chief legal officer at Fletchers, welcomed the appointments, saying: ‘It’s great to have Lisa and Sarah on board to lead our medical product liability cases.’ Both new partners will be based in the firm’s Liverpool office, serving clients across the UK.
