Forsters—Sarah Williams

Family team welcomes partner and head of children

London firm Forsters has appointed Sarah Williams as partner and head of children in its family department. Williams, a highly regarded expert in children law, will join the firm on 22 September, bringing decades of experience across complex and sensitive family matters.

‘We are absolutely thrilled that Sarah is joining us,’ said Jo Edwards, partner and head of family. ‘Her deep expertise and commitment to stellar client care will be in high demand among clients seeking first-rate advice in complex, multi-jurisdictional and sensitive cases.’ Senior partner Natasha Rees added: ‘Few practitioners bring the same calibre of specialist knowledge and experience in children matters.’

Williams began her career at the Bar, representing a wide range of parties in children cases, before moving into boutique family practices and later joining Payne Hicks Beach as partner and head of modern family law. Her expertise spans fertility, surrogacy, adoption, donor conception, schooling, and gender issues, often involving high-profile and international clients.

‘Joining Forsters is a hugely exciting next step in my career,’ said Williams. ‘It is so exciting to be working alongside Jo and the rest of the team to build a world-class children law offering that reflects the modern challenges and considerations of our clients.’
