Freeths—Jane Dickers

Scottish offering strengthened with dispute resolution partner hire in Glasgow

Freeths has appointed Jane Dickers as partner in its Glasgow office, bolstering the firm’s national commercial dispute resolution team. Dickers joins from Davidson Chalmers Stewart and will work alongside Alan Mcdonald, supporting partners Nick Taylor, Paul Ockrim and Amy McVey to expand Freeths’ litigation offering in Scotland.

Dickers brings extensive experience in handling cases in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts, as well as advising at board level across the real estate, construction and financial services sectors. Her strategic insight and industry knowledge will be key in managing complex contentious matters for clients.

Nick Taylor welcomed the appointment, saying: 'Jane’s track record and understanding of the Scottish legal landscape will be invaluable as we strengthen our Glasgow capabilities.' He added that her arrival represents 'an exciting step forward' in Freeths’ commitment to service excellence across Scotland.

Commenting on her new role, Dickers said she was 'thrilled to be joining Freeths at such an exciting time' and saw 'tremendous opportunity to augment an already dynamic team in Glasgow.' The firm, which has successfully grown its London and Bristol offices, is now focused on replicating that success in Scotland following its Glasgow launch two years ago.
