Rural and agricultural property specialist made partner

South East firm Furley Page has announced the promotion of Ethan Desai to partner.

Ethan has been with the firm since January 2016, when he joined from Blake Morgan. As partner, he will take a leading role in the firm’s agriculture and rural business team in Kent, splitting his time between the Canterbury, Chatham and Whitstable offices. He specialises in handling rural and agricultural property matters, and offers experience spanning development schemes, estate management and renewable energy projects.

Senior partner Peter Hawkes commented: ‘Ethan has made a very strong contribution to the development of our agriculture team and I am delighted that he has been deservedly promoted to partner. Ethan has considerable expertise in agricultural and rural business law and renewable energy, and his involvement at partnership level will be a valuable asset for us in the future.’

Managing partner and head of real estate Jeremy Licence added: ‘Ethan is a first-class lawyer with considerable experience and an excellent background representing rural and agricultural clients. This promotion reflects the fantastic contribution Ethan has made to the work of our team over the past two years.’
