Gateley Legal—Daniel Walsh

Firm bolsters real estate team with partner hire in Birmingham

Gateley Legal has appointed Daniel Walsh as a partner in its Birmingham office, reinforcing its real estate team as it continues to build its presence in the Midlands’ active commercial development market. The move supports the firm’s focus on logistics and large-scale development projects amid sustained regional demand.

Walsh joins from a series of senior roles at CMS, Eversheds Sutherland and Gowling WLG, bringing 20 years’ experience advising developers, institutional investors and property funds on complex, high-value transactions across all real estate asset classes. His expertise includes large-scale logistics schemes and urban regeneration projects, and he will work alongside partners Richard Pettifor, Ray Simpson and Chris Adams in the Birmingham team.

Rebecca Sherwin, partner and national head of real estate, said: ‘Daniel brings great knowledge and experience to the team and expands our development and logistics expertise within the Midlands… we continue to have the skills and resource to support our clients with their continued growth.’

Walsh added: ‘It’s great to have joined such an established development team… I’m confident that Gateley Legal provides a strong platform and it’s great to be joining the business at such an exciting time.’
