Firm strengthens real estate and litigation teams with partner promotions

Gilson Gray has promoted Gregor Duthie and Stephen Forsyth from legal director to partner, bolstering its real estate and litigation practices. The promotions form part of a wider round of advancements across the business, with 25 colleagues recognised as the firm continues its expansion across Scotland and the UK.

Duthie (pictured) has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial real estate and advises clients including international investors, cross-border portfolio holders and local occupiers. Accredited in commercial property law by the WS Society, he specialises in investment acquisitions, asset management and development projects.

Forsyth brings 15 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution, handling contractual disputes, construction and property matters, and personal injury claims. His work has included securing ‘numerous six-figure and multi-million-pound settlements’, particularly in personal injury and medical negligence cases.

Duthie said Gilson Gray had built ‘a strong reputation in the market as commercially savvy advisers’, while Forsyth said the firm had provided ‘a strong platform to develop my practice’. Glen Gilson, chairman and managing partner, described both lawyers as ‘highly regarded’ and said the promotions reflected ‘the strength and depth of talent we have across the business’.
