New recruits for family department
The family department at Jackson & Canter have announced two new appointments.
Haley Farrell has joined the team from the Berkson Globe Partnership. She specialises in private and public law children matters and is a member of the Children Panel and Law Society Family Law Panel Accreditation Scheme.
Haley says: “I am very much looking forward to working as part of the family team at Jackson & Canter, a firm that I have long admired, particularly due to their emphasis on community and legal aid work.”
Gemma Ellison has been with Jackson & Canter since September 2013, having completed a secondment with the immigration department. She then went on to complete her training contract in the family department and was successful in qualifying as a solicitor on 1 March 2014.
Gemma says: “I am delighted to have qualified into such a prestigious department and I am very grateful for the fantastic support I have been given by both the immigration and family departments and indeed the firm as a whole. I am looking forward to a long future with Jackson & Canter.”
Partner & head of the family department, Paula Widdison, says: “I am pleased to welcome Haley to the department. She brings with her a wealth of experience and will strengthen our already highly experienced team. We enjoyed having Gemma in the department as she completed her training contract and are now delighted to welcome her to the team as a fully qualified solicitor.”
