Haynes Boone has expanded its global fund finance department with the appointment of Jeremy Cross as a partner in London. Cross joins from Addleshaw Goddard, where he led the growth of its fund finance practice, and brings more than 30 years of experience advising lenders and funds on a broad range of financing structures.
Cross advises on subscription facilities, NAV facilities, asset-backed structures and management company lines, acting for both lenders and borrowers. Earlier in his career, he established the London fund finance practice at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft and also served as head of finance at SJ Berwin.
Albert Tan, global head of fund finance at Haynes Boone, described Cross as ‘a highly respected fund finance lawyer with a sophisticated practice’. He added: ‘His experience across the full range of fund finance products, combined with his strong relationships across Europe, makes him an excellent addition to our global team.’
Commenting on the move, Cross said: ‘I am excited to join Haynes Boone at a time of strong growth for both the firm and the fund finance market.’ He added that the firm’s ‘established platform combined with its global ambitions creates a compelling opportunity to further develop a leading fund finance practice.’
