Firm hires real estate partner in London

DAC Beachcroft LLP has appointed Helen Murcott as a partner in its real estate practice in London.

Helen joins DAC Beachcroft from King & Wood Malleson (KWM) where she held the position of counsel, having joined the Sino-Australian firm in 2006. Prior to that, she was a senior associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. At DAC Beachcroft, she will work within the commercial investment team.

Helen's client base includes institutional and overseas real estate investors and developers while she has also acted for occupiers on HQ relocations and has extensive experience of structured real estate transactions and real estate finance. At KWM, she led the team acting for The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society, an association she will continue at DAC Beachcroft by drawing on the expertise and reach of the firm's national real estate group.

Robert Lee, head of real estate at DAC Beachcroft, said: "I am very pleased to welcome Helen to the firm. She brings with her extensive knowledge of the real estate sector and an impressive portfolio and I have no doubt that she will be a significant asset to the firm in the years to come."

Helen added: "I'm delighted to join the real estate team at DAC Beachcroft. I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues across the firm's national and international network, both to service our existing high-quality client base and to grow the real estate practice."
