Firm promotes across its four offices
Hewitsons has strengthened its teams with a number of recent promotions across its four offices in Cambridge, London, Milton Keynes and Northampton.
In the Cambridge office Susanne Hinde has been appointed as partner in the real estate unit, and has come at a time of increased activity in the property market in the city and further afield. For a number of years, Susanne has taken an increasingly prominent role in the development of the Cambridge real estate team, and is widely-respected among her colleagues and clients.
Other well deserved promotions within the firm include Antonia Cooper, a solicitor in the private wealth team in Northampton and member of the charities team, who has been promoted to senior solicitor. Antonia has many years of experience working on matters including wills, estates, lasting powers of attorney and trusts. Antonia also advises on charities, with her areas of speciality including charity formation, governance and incorporation.
Within the Cambridge office Lorna Carter has been promoted to senior associate executive. Lorna specialises in construction law including resolving disputes connected to the industry. Lorna is also a member of the firm's banking and finance group.
Laurence Evans, Gemma Dudley and Ceri Riddel have all been promoted to senior associates.
Laurence works in the corporate team advising private and public sector clients on a full range of corporate matters.
Gemma works in the planning and environmental team and specialises in both contentious and non-contentious planning, compulsory purchase and licensing work.
Ceri work in the real estate team and specialises in non-contentious commercial property matters and acts for developers and investors on site acquisitions and disposals of commercial and mixed use developments.
Sunita Punj and Samantha Hand, both based in the Milton Keynes office, have also been promoted. Sunita, a member of the real estate team has been promoted to senior solicitor and acts for a broad client base including charities, retailers, landowners, investors and lenders, dealing with freehold and leasehold transactions involving acquisitions and disposals.
Samantha has been promoted to plot sales assistant and will continue to develop on her experience and support her colleagues in the real estate team.
In the London office, Bela Zavery has been promoted to senior associate. Bela has substantial experience in advising clients on a variety of real estate matters including all aspects of real estate work from routine to complex and high value.
