Firm adds real estate expertise to health & social care offering

Trowers & Hamlins has further enhanced its real estate offering to the health and social care sector, with the appointment of respected commercial property lawyer Hilary Blackwell.

Hilary will join the firm as a partner in its real estate team and will operate within its health and social care group. She joins from Capsticks Solicitors LLP where she was a senior real estate partner.

Her expertise will add significantly to the firm’s skill set in this area. She has significant experience in commercial property and associated projects and specialises in health service and related work.

Hilary is known for an innovative and effective approach, building on her extensive experience in implementing complex and ground breaking transaction structures. Major urban regenerations also feature within her portfolio, including site assembly, planning, resolution of title, overage, contamination issues and development agreements.

Ian Graham, partner in the Trowers & Hamlins real estate team, comments: “Our health and social care offering is growing, and Hilary’s arrival will help us to develop it still further. She has an excellent and established reputation representing health services and for joint working with local authorities her wealth of experience and knowledge will complement our existing team. We are very pleased to welcome her on board.”

Hilary adds: “There is a huge amount of potential in the Trowers & Hamlins health and social care group and I am looking forward to playing my part in its ongoing development. I am delighted to be joining such a high profile team and to working with them and their clients on innovative and exciting projects.”
