Hill Dickinson—Paul Matthews, Liz Graham & Sarah Pace

Leeds office strengthened with triple partner hire

Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has announced three senior appointments in its growing Leeds office, signalling continued investment in its northern operations. Paul Matthews joins as national head of regulatory, Liz Graham as pensions partner and Sarah Pace as health partner, bolstering the firm’s business services and health practices.

Paul Matthews, previously head of regulatory at Clarion, brings almost two decades of experience and is recognised by The Legal 500 UK as one of the country’s leading health and safety lawyers. ‘Taking on the role of national head of regulatory at Hill Dickinson is an exciting opportunity to grow and shape a market-leading practice,’ he said, adding that his aim is to deliver ‘clear, practical solutions to complex compliance and regulatory challenges.’ Matthews is joined by senior associate Lucy Alderson, who strengthens the regulatory team with expertise in food law and product compliance.

Liz Graham, who joins from Walker Morris, said: ‘Hill Dickinson’s reputation for collaboration and client focus really stood out to me.’ A highly regarded pensions specialist, she has extensive experience advising trustees and employers on complex scheme issues and governance matters across private, charity and public sectors.

In the health team, Sarah Pace joins from DHL, where she served as legal director. ‘I’m passionate about helping organisations achieve their objectives through well-structured, commercially sound contracts,’ she said. Fiona Parry, head of business services, described Paul and Liz as ‘highly respected lawyers who bring valuable experience and specialist knowledge,’ while Andrew Craggs, head of health, added that Sarah’s expertise ‘will be a real asset to clients across the firm.’
