Hodge Jones & Allen

Criminal defence duo joins partnership

Hodge Jones & Allen (HJA) has announced the promotion of criminal defence solicitors Leo Martin and Gary Monks to partner, their additions bringing the total HJA partner count to 47.

Leo has been with the firm since 2009, when he joined from Galbraith Branley. He is a highly experienced criminal litigator, and specialises in pre-charge advice and representation. Gary joined HJA in 2014 from Mackesys, and represents clients accused of a wide variety of offences including murder, violence and fraud.

In addition to the two new partners, the firm has also promoted Perveen Hill and Jennifer Siddorn from associate to senior associate, and a further seven solicitors to an associate position.

HJA managing partner Vidisha Joshi said: ‘It’s extremely rewarding to be able to promote so many people across the firm and is a testament to the hard work and dedication that each solicitor has shown. I’d like to congratulate each one and thank them for their dedication. It’s hugely reassuring for me as managing partner to have such a strong range of talent across our business to allow us to build for the future.’
