Firm expands private client team In London with new family partner
Irwin Mitchell has appointed family and divorce barrister Ian Cook as a partner in its London office.
Ian has been qualified for over 20 years and is a specialist finance practitioner within family law, with vast experience of all aspects of divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships and financial provision for the children of unmarried parents.
He has regularly been instructed in cases involving family trusts and complex wealth holding structures situated in the UK and offshore including in Switzerland, Jersey, Isle of Man and Liechtenstein. Ian is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
He joins from 1 Kings Bench Walk Chambers and will be part of Irwin Mitchell’s large private client team which has grown rapidly with the acquisition of Berkeley Law and merger with Thomas Eggar. The firm also launched its specialist private wealth offer for high net worth clients earlier this year.
