A conveyancer from St Albans firm Bretherton Law has been chosen as the lucky winner of a two-week trip to Australia, courtesy of legal tech provider InfoTrack.

Sameera Saleem, who is currently serving as mayor of Luton, was selected as the winner of InfoTrack’s ‘Take me to Australia’ promotion, which relaunched in 2022 following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic.

Entries to the competition were automatically generated when clients used services—including eCOS, Contract of Sale, Indemnities, Property Report, and digital AP1—through the InfoTrack platform. A live draw of almost 200,000 entries was held on 31 January, with Sameera’s winning ticket number being drawn at random.

She will now enjoy return international flights, as well as domestic flights, day trips and spending money, for herself and one travel companion.

Sameera said: ‘Thank you InfoTrack for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity! I’m currently the Mayor of Luton and I finish my Mayoral term in May, so this holiday couldn’t have come at a better time for me to just relax and celebrate everything I’ve done over the past year. It feels like a dream come true. I look forward to being out there for two weeks and visiting Sydney, Uluru, and Port Douglas and exploring the areas. I can tick it off my bucket list!’

Sam Jordan, chief operating officer at InfoTrack said: ‘We’re thrilled to be able to reward one of our clients with this incredible prize of a trip to Australia again. 2022 saw our highest number of entries yet, with almost 200,000 tickets in the prize draw. Thank you to all our clients who participated. We hope Sameera has an amazing time in Australia and can’t wait to hear about her travels.’
