Ioannis Alexopoulos—Signature Litigation

Commercial litigation & international arbitration specialist joins firm

Signature Litigation has announced the appointment of a new partner, Ioannis Alexopoulos. Ioannis trained at Holman Fenwick and spent eight years working at the firm before joining DLA Piper as an associate in 1998. Ioannis was promoted to partner in 1998 and was formerly the London head of litigation at the firm until December 2014. He joins Signature Litigation from Bryan Cave where he was a partner.

Ioannis specialises in commercial litigation and international arbitration, including banking disputes, particularly those involving financial products, investment banking and derivatives, and also on commercial and business disputes with an emphasis on joint venture and shareholder disputes, shareholder protection, business break-ups and fraud. His key industry sectors are financial services, energy/oil & gas, shipping/international trade, telecoms and infrastructure projects with key geographies being Greece, the Balkans, Russia, the Middle East, Brazil and sub-Saharan Africa.
