Band of 50+ join Irwin Mitchell
A cohort of 53 trainee solicitors has joined national law firm Irwin Mitchell. They started their seats in personal injury, private wealth or business legal services in 12 of the firm’s offices on 28 August.
As well as law, their training covers professional skills in advocacy, communication, finance and business skills, client care and professional standards.
The 53 hail from 27 different universities. One-fifth have non-law degrees including English Literature, Modern Languages and Philosophy & Politics.
Craig Thompson, Head of Graduate and Apprentice Recruitment at Irwin Mitchell, said: ‘As a firm we are passionate about helping our people to develop their skills and further their career, recognising that the right talent can be absolutely crucial in helping us achieve our aims.
‘Many of our current Partners were previously trainees here and have worked their way up. We are very passionate about supporting and developing our staff. Future trainees can apply for Irwin Mitchell’s 2021 training contracts and 2019 Legal Work Placements from 1 November 2018.
