North-west firm appoints head of medical negligence

Jackson Lees Group has named Jeanette Aspinall as head of its 23-strong medical negligence department, reinforcing its commitment to high-level client care and specialist expertise. Jeanette joins as partner from Scott Rees & Co, bringing nearly three decades of experience across personal injury, industrial disease and clinical negligence. She has a proven track record in building legal teams, having grown departments to over 80 staff in previous roles.

Commenting on the move, Jeanette said: ‘Jackson Lees is a well-known and respected firm... its medical negligence department has an experienced team of lawyers dealing with a very strong caseload.’ She praised the firm’s client-focused culture, adding: ‘It is important to be commercial, understand the broader business goals and make decisions that balance client care with profitability.’

Jackson Lees Group is part of MAPD Group, which supports the growth of local law firms nationally. ‘The opportunity to join the group was too good to miss,’ Jeanette said, highlighting the chance to tap into shared legal services and drive further departmental expansion.

Managing director Esther Leach welcomed Jeanette, citing her ‘vast experience and successful track record of building teams’. She added: ‘She is very committed to getting the best outcomes for clients alongside her caring leadership style.’ Jackson Lees continues to offer wide-ranging legal services across family, probate, commercial, and litigation matters.
