Leading wealth planning partner returns to firm
Withers has welcomed back Jeremy Arnold as a partner in its private client and tax team. Jeremy is well known as a leading tax, trusts and wealth structuring lawyer, and originally was an associate and partner at Withers from 1985-2006.
Jeremy moved to Barclays Wealth in 2006, where he played a key role in establishing the group's wealth advisory arm. Two years later, Jeremy took the position of General Counsel to Kedge Capital, which now operates as Waypoint Capital. In the course of the eight years he spent with Waypoint Capital it developed into a diversified investment platform with a number of investments in the UK, Europe and the US.
Margaret Robertson, CEO of Withers, comments: "We are delighted that Jeremy has decided to return to the firm. Whilst maintaining regular contact with him in the decade since he left, we have been well aware that the in-house experience he has accrued has made him an even more valuable lawyer, with a wider perspective on serving clients. As a senior member of our private client and tax team, Jeremy will play an important part in developing the practice."
Jeremy adds: "The Withers I've come back to is a hugely different firm from the one I left in 2006. The world-spanning office network now provides a platform for truly working with clients across their international interests. I look forward to working with old and new colleagues around the world, and to introducing my clients to the full range of services that Withers can offer."
