Firm appoints director of marketing for Europe

Bryan Cave LLP has announced the appointment of Keith Hardie as director of marketing for Europe. In this newly created senior role, Keith will bring his extensive commercial acumen to develop and manage marketing strategies across Bryan Cave’s European offices, working in close collaboration with the firm’s leadership team and his counterparts in the US.

Keith has over 20 years’ experience in marketing communications and is widely regarded as a leader in his field. He joins Bryan Cave from Bird & Bird where he was head of marketing and communications as well as commercial director of Baseline—an innovative legal joint venture between Bird & Bird and management consultants ASE Consulting—which he helped to successfully launch. Prior to these roles, Keith served as head of communications at Berwin Leighton Paisner and at some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, including Premier Travel Inn, Thames Water and the Post Office.

Based in London, Keith will lead a team of marketing professionals in the Frankfurt, Hamburg, London and Paris offices of Bryan Cave, as well as an affiliated firm in Milan, and work in close alignment with the U.S marketing team to deliver Bryan Cave’s firmwide strategy.

Kathleen Flynn, Bryan Cave’s chief marketing officer, comments: “I am very excited about Keith joining Bryan Cave. His wealth of experience in marketing and the legal sector, as well as his energy and drive, will help us to further develop and promote the firm’s pan-European capabilities. He will also support our firmwide strategy and our plans for continued growth in the region.”

Keith says: “I am looking forward to hitting the ground running in my new role at Bryan Cave. The firm is a true innovator when it comes to the delivery of legal services—something that hugely appeals to me. The European offices have excellent capabilities and I will be working with the lawyers and the marketing team to maximise that potential, building on the successes already achieved.”
