Kennedys

Firm adds six to the partnership

Global firm Kennedys has announced five additions to its partnership across its offices in England and Ireland, bringing its total partner count worldwide to 279.

In the London office, three solicitors have been promoted to partner. These are Alexandra Nurse, an insurance and reinsurance disputes specialist; Michael Biltoo, who focuses on marine insurance and shipping disputes; and Adam Blanchard, who acts for insurers on a wide range of claims. In addition, Thom Lumley in the Chelmsford office will also be joining the partnership, and will continue to advise on large insurance claims and public liability cases. In the Dublin office, Carol Maguire has also received a promotion to partner; she regularly handles non-contentious matters, particularly property transactions.

As well as boosting its partner offering in the UK and Ireland, the firm has also promoted liability disputes expert Wilson Tam in the Hong Kong office, and in March announced four new partners in the US. Senior partner Nick Thomas commented: ‘I am very pleased to be able to welcome Carol, Alexandra, Michael, Adam, Thom and Wilson to the Kennedys partnership, in addition to our four new partners in the US. All have demonstrated hard work, determination, and have made a real difference to the business.

‘It is particularly rewarding to be able to see people who have grown with us over a number of years reach such an important milestone in their careers.’
