Kennedys

Firm announces association with Italian firm

International law firm Kennedys is increasing its European presence through a formal association with Italian firm Studio Legale Rinaldi Associati (RASS). The two firms have been working together for over 20 years.

An increased volume of cross-border and international referrals has led to the association with RASS, which has offices in Milan, Rome and Bologna. All three offices will become associate offices of Kennedys.

Since opening in 1995, RASS has become particularly well-known for its assistance to major multinational companies and its insurance claims, coverage and litigation expertise, particularly their property & casualty practice, which includes property damage, product liability, motor and workplace accidents. They also advise on financial lines claims and contractual disputes. The 28-strong team at RASS is led by Egidio Rinaldi and includes nine partners.

Nick Thomas, senior partner at Kennedys, says: “Our formal association with trusted friends at RASS enables us to provide clients with strong litigation and dispute resolution services in Italy, and focus on insurance coverage issues and claims defence work. Expanding our international reach remains key to our strategy and this association with RASS brings more opportunities for our global network.”

Egidio Rinaldi, senior partner at Studio Legale Rinaldi Associati, says: “I am delighted that we now have a formal association with Kennedys. We already work with many of the leading (re)insurers and we will now be able to formally tap into Kennedys’ expertise and international reach, providing our clients with additional cross-border advice and services. I look forward to working more closely with Kennedys and demonstrating to our clients the enhanced benefits of working with a global firm.”
