Keystone Law—14 appointments

 Firm announces 14 appointments

Keystone Law has announced the appointment of 14 partner-level lawyers across a range of practice areas.

James Knight, the firm’s CEO and founder, said: ‘Keystone continues to stand out to senior lawyers who are excelling and wish to be remunerated in line with their performance. Together with our flat structure and the complete autonomy we can provide, our offering to lawyers cannot be matched. As our firm grows through excellent hires, such as our latest new joiners, so does our reputation as a first-rate alternative to the traditional law firm model.

‘Each of these lawyers are highly skilled in their area of specialism and have an impressive track record of advising on a wide range of cases and transactions. They bring with them many years of experience and market knowledge, which will further enhance our full-service capabilities to our clients. We are delighted to welcome them to the firm.’

The new appointments include corporate and energy lawyer Stuart Carter, who joins from Fieldfisher and focuses on oil and gas transactions and projects, and corporate lawyer Nicholas Barclay, formerly of Macfarlanes. Joining Keystone from Weil, Gotshal & Manges is Muzaffar Shah, who focuses on data privacy and information governance, as well as commercial transactions.

Solicitor-advocate Margarita Michael joins the arbitration and dispute resolution team from O’Melveny & Myers, and IP and commercial specialist Fiona Nicolson has joined from Bristows. Alexandra Carn, joining Keystone from Edwin Coe, focuses on employment law with a specialism in the financial services sector.

In the real estate field, property litigation specialists Chris Hill and Greg Barnbrook have both come on board from Fletcher Day. James Daglish has also joined from Goodman Derrick, and focuses on real estate and licensing with particular expertise in the leisure and hospitality sector. Also joining from Goodman Derrick is residential property specialist John Downing.

The dispute resolution team has welcomed Elaine Chan from Ward Hadaway, a commercial and insurance litigation expert. Anna McGill has joined from Gordon Brown Law, and focuses on corporate transactional work, including M&A, fundraisings and joint ventures. Dispute resolution specialist Robert Kenyon advises businesses and individuals on corporate and commercial disputes, and joins Keystone from PDT Solicitors. Completing the latest hires is Oliver Mellman, a corporate and commercial lawyer with experience in energy and commodities who joins from Provenance Legal.
