Employment practice strengthened by pair of senior hires
Keystone Law has attracted a pair of experienced recruits to bolster its employment offering.
Angharad Harris and Asha Kumar both join the firm as partners from Watson Farley & Williams. Angharad was the head of employment at the former firm, and has also previously acted as chair of the Employment Law Committee of England and Wales. She is highly experienced in the employment law field, with significant expertise handling cases involving reputational risk, as well as board-level disputes, restrictive covenants, and whistleblowing.
Angharad commented: ‘The marketplace is changing for employment lawyers in the City. Clients want and seek progressive, dynamic services in a way that is different from the offering made by so many traditional law firms. Meanwhile lawyers desire flexibility and the toolkit to provide a first class service, doing the work that they do best.’
Asha Kumar spent almost 18 years as an employment lawyer with Watson Farley & Williams. She brings with her a wealth of experience advising both foreign and domestic clients on a range of employment matters, with particular expertise in issues related to commercial transactions and global company reorganisations, as well as handling TUPE and outsourcing cases.
Asha stated: ‘Keystone is truly unique in its ability to combine senior expertise with competitive fee structures. This, paired with the autonomy and backing to build an offering which will continue to attract clients whilst adopting working practices that allow us to flourish, is what really attracted me to join.’
Keystone Law’s CEO and founder James Knight added: ‘We are delighted by Angharad and Asha’s decision to join Keystone. Both are talented lawyers with a strong set of skills that complement the clients and sectors within which we work. We looking forward to the contributions they will bring.’
