Kingsley Napley has appointed Romilly Holland as a partner in its international arbitration team, within the dispute resolution practice. She joins from McDermott Will & Schulte, where she has been counsel since 2023, having previously worked at Freshfields in London and Lazareff Le Bars and Derains & Gharavi in Paris.
An England & Wales-qualified solicitor and a member of the Paris Bar, Holland is an international arbitration specialist with more than 15 years’ experience handling high-value commercial and investment disputes. Her work spans sectors including energy, telecoms and hospitality, acting for corporates, investors and States across multiple jurisdictions and arbitration regimes.
She will work alongside James Glaysher, who launched the firm’s international arbitration practice in 2024, and Tim Lowles, who recently joined to lead the sports disputes practice. Richard Foss, head of dispute resolution, said the team’s work is ‘increasingly international and multi-jurisdictional’ and that the firm is ‘delighted to add Romilly’s expertise’ to this ‘vibrant area’.
Holland said she is ‘very much looking forward’ to working with her new colleagues, adding that the firm’s experience is ‘highly complementary’ and that she is ‘confident that together we can continue to grow this area of work’ as arbitration becomes an ‘ever more popular route’ for clients.
