
Firm appoints new partner to its national safety health & environment team
DAC Beachcroft LLP has appointed Kirsty Gomersal as a partner in its market-leading national safety, health & environment (SHE) team.
Kirsty, who joins from Clyde & Co, specialises in all aspects of regulatory compliance, particularly complex environmental and health and safety defence work.
An expert in environmental law, she regularly advises on appeals against Environment Agency Notices, waste, pollution and permitting issues. In addition, she is experienced in drafting enforcement undertakings and advising on ancillary matters such as restraint and proceeds of crime.
Also recognised for her health and safety expertise, Kirsty has considerable experience of regulatory investigations (including corporate manslaughter), the applicability of RIDDOR and advising on all compliance matters.
In addition to having higher rights of audience in all courts, she is an assistant coroner in the West Yorkshire (West) area. She regularly provides training to clients and to professional bodies such as ICE, CECA and IOSH.
