Lake Legal—Hollie Burnett

Family law firm appoints partner in Leeds

Firm grows family department with new hire

Leeds-based boutique family law firm Lake Legal has promoted Hollie Burnett to partner, following a record year of growth and the launch of a new mediation service. The appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment in its family department and strategic expansion.

Burnett (pictured, right), who joined Lake Legal in 2017 and became an associate in 2021, has built a strong reputation for her work across complex financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, domestic violence cases, nuptial agreements and child-related matters. She said the promotion was ‘hugely rewarding’ and described the firm as ‘supportive and forward-thinking’.

The promotion coincides with a 5% rise in turnover and the introduction of a mediation offering led by Sam Haslam. Managing partner Claire Glaister (left) said the firm is ‘going from strength to strength’ and praised Burnett as ‘a huge asset to the business’.

Lake Legal continues to be recognised as one of the region’s leading family law specialists, with top-tier rankings from Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500.
