Routine activities conducted in a public place, such as walking down the street or visiting the shops, do not attract any reasonable expectation or guarantee of privacy so that an individual who had been photographed in a public place cannot rely on the right to respect for his private and family life under the Convention, Art 8, unless there are some other special circumstance such as harassment or distress.
