In brief

Size does not matter when it comes to being a top legal employer, according to new research. The CRF and Sweet & Maxwell top legal employer study ranked 125-lawyer Channel Islands firm, Carey Olsen, highest for pay, benefits and training and fourth overall. Berwin Leighton Paisner, 18th largest law firm in the UK, came in first place overall. Clifford Chance, the world’s largest law firm, was ranked third. Shoosmiths, despite not having an office in London, was the firm ranked highest for diversity.  CMS Cameron McKenna was placed first for corporate social responsibility.
