Law Society RFC Festival of Sport: new sponsor & date announced

The Law Society RFC has announced Montresor Legal as the headline sponsor of the 2024 Law Society RFC Festival of Sport (formerly known as the 7s & Netball Tournament)

This year’s tournament will be held on Sunday 15 September at Richmond Athletic Ground, with the addition a men’s five-a-side football tournament alongside the rugby 7s, mixed tag and women’s netball tournaments.

There are currently 49 law and financial services firms signed up to take part, with past winners Clyde & Co, Stephenson Harwood and Deloitte back in action and aiming to retain their cups. Eversheds Sutherland, BCLP and William Fry (last year’s plate winners) all return and will be challenging for the main prize this year.

Tournament director Daniel How said: ‘It’s great to have a new sponsor on board this year, with fresh ideas to drive the tournament forward. We look forward to working with the team from Montresor Legal in 2024 and beyond as the tournament continues to iterate and grow, with over 110 teams taking part this year.’

Montresor Legal supports UK and US law firms and in-house legal teams with the recruitment of lawyers and support staff on a permanent and interim basis.
