Legal website?

Support for an independent solicitor-locating website

An official, independent legal advice website similar to that for NHS Direct could benefit consumers, according to a report by the Legal Services Board consumer panel. The report found consumers were baffled by the amount of information and choice when searching for legal information on the internet.

However, there was some support for an independent website, which consumers felt would offer guidance on how to find a good solicitor, how to have a more informed conversation with their legal adviser, and whether they could save money where there was no need to contact a solicitor.
