Lewis Silkin—Anthony Van Hoffen

Firm recruits new real estate partner

London firm Lewis Silkin LLP has announced that Anthony Van Hoffen has joined the firm as partner.

Anthony has moved to the firm after 15 years at Eversheds Sutherland, nine of which were as partner. He is qualified as a lawyer, notary and conveyancer in South Africa, and re-qualified to practise in the UK in 1999. Anthony focuses his practice on real estate matters, specialising in large commercial developments, infrastructure and regeneration projects, with additional expertise in public procurement and development finance.

Anthony commented: ‘I am very happy to be joining Lewis Silkin and am excited by the synergies that I have seen already between my practice and the firm’s core specialisms and targets. I believe my experience will complement what is already a terrific offering, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success.’

The divisional managing partner Giles Crown added: ‘We are delighted to welcome Anthony to Lewis Silkin. His experience and proven track record will further strengthen our real estate offering, as well as dovetailing with our existing team and sector focus areas. Anthony’s appointment is an important addition as we continue to expand our real estate capabilities in line with client demand and emerging opportunities, and we look forward to working with him.’
