LNB news: SRA updates guidance for firms regarding financial sanctions against Russia

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has updated its guidance for firms to ensure that they are adhering to the government’s recent sanctions on both Russian nationals and organisations as a result of the ongoing Ukraine conflict

Lexis®Library update: The SRA states in the guidance that it is to carry out spot checks to assess firms' compliance with the financial sanctions regime.

This update follows a reminder issued to law firms by the SRA stressing the importance of sanctions compliance, following the UK government’s move to impose new financial sanctions on Russia.
