The government has announced new economic sanctions on Russia, including a ban on exports of high-end luxury goods and the end of the UK’s recognition of Russia’s Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status within the World Trade Organization (WTO)

Lexis®Library update: This latter decision allows the UK to impose additional tariffs on Russian imports, as well as the potential opportunity to ban Russian goods from entering the UK. This was co-ordinated with other countries in the G7.
