Family team expands with addition of new solicitor

London firm Mackrell Turner Garrett has welcomed solicitor Melissa Gire to its family law practice.

Melissa, who has four years of post-qualification experience under her belt, previously spent two years as a family solicitor at Streeter Marshall in Purley. She deals with a wide range of family law issues; her key area of focus is divorce and separation, including related child issues and financial arrangements, and she also has experience in family contracts and non-confrontational dispute resolution.

Commenting on her new role, Melissa said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the family law team at Mackrell Turner Garrett. Family law can be a particularly sensitive area and often people’s first focus is to take a matter to court, but my focus and that of many of my colleagues in the profession is to reach a non-confrontational outcome.’

The firm’s head of family law, Alison Green, added: ‘We are delighted that Melissa is joining our team. She shares many of the same values as the rest of the team and her approach takes into full consideration the needs of all parties involved. I look forward to seeing how she progresses during her time with us.’
