Fraud litigation expert recruited as consultant

An expert in fraud litigation has joined Setfords Solicitors as a consultant.

Malcolm Harris has been a managing partner and head of litigation for two firms and also worked in-house at an IT company, where he worked on a multi-million pound case involving aircraft manufacturer Airbus.

Malcolm also handles civil, criminal and insolvency proceedings as well as commercial litigation and dispute resolution and debt collection. He can also deal with contentious and non contentious probate matters.

In 1996 Malcolm was the first solicitor from the south west of England to appear as a solicitor advocate at the Old Bailey and the following year in the Court of Appeal.

Malcolm said: “I am very excited to join Setfords as a consultant as I can feel a real community spirit with very talented lawyers and professional back-up and support. New developments arise in law every day and it is good to have the chance to bounce ideas around with colleagues. There is a real feel of camaraderie within Setfords which is a pleasure to be part of.”

CEO Guy Setford said: “Malcolm’s exceptional ability and extensive experience makes him a tremendous asset to the litigation team here at Setfords.”

CEO Chris Setford added: “Malcolm has proven his ability to manage high-profile high-value cases which is why it’s not unusual to see Malcolm’s cases regularly featuring in the national media.”
