Matthew Olorenshaw—DAC Beachcroft

DAC Beachcroft has appointed Matthew Olorenshaw, a specialist in construction and engineering-related disputes, as a partner in its global insurance practice.

Matthew, who joins from DWF LLP where he was also a partner, advises major insurers on defending complex claims against construction professionals, particularly architects, engineers, design and build contractors and specialist building consultants. 

He has also acted directly for developers, contractors and subcontractors involved in complicated, high-value construction-related disputes both in the UK and abroad.  Recent work has included advising insurers on a dispute arising from construction defects at a major UK hospital, and losses arising from a power failure at a large UK data centre.

Based at DAC Beachcroft's Minster Court office in London, Matthew joins a market-leading team of experts who focus entirely on handling construction professional negligence claims for insurers both in the UK and internationally, working with the firm's international offices and its Legalign partner firms.
