Energy team expands with two experienced additions

London firm McCarthy Denning has brought two new partners on board, Robin Storey and Stacey Kivel, whose additions have expanded the firm’s energy team to five.

Robin brings over 20 years of in-house oil and gas experience. He has previously acted as general counsel and company secretary at small cap exploration and production (E&P) companies, including Aurelian Oil & Gas, Equus Petroleum and Stratic Energy Corporation, and has also undertaken legal advisory roles at BP and PetroKazakhstan. His experience in the energy field includes upstream, financing, restructuring and disputes.

Stacey has held a host of roles within the upstream oil and gas sector, including acting as corporate counsel for Equator Exploration, Oando, and Minexco Petroleum. She has also previously worked as a legal consultant at Tower Resources, DIG Oil and Nor Energy. She is highly experienced in acquiring exploration rights in African nations, particularly Francophone countries, and has handled acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings. Stacey is also an FCA-regulated financial advisor with experience in litigation funding.
