Michael Young—Quinn Emanuel

Firm hires leading international arbitration practitioner in Paris

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP has announced that Michael Young will be joining the firm as a partner in Paris. Michael will be joining from Allen & Overy, where he was co-head of the its global arbitration practice.

Michael has represented companies in all industry and market sectors, with a particular focus on energy, chemicals and natural resources disputes involving the Middle East, North America, Europe and Africa (both Anglophone and Francophone). He acts regularly as advocate before both arbitral tribunals and experts, and has been on the executive committee of the Federation for International Arbitration Advocacy since its inception. He is a vice-president of the ICC Court of Arbitration.

Michael says: “I am very excited to be joining this dynamic, market-leading arbitration practice and look forward to working with Stephen and Philippe in moving it even further forward.”

Managing partner John B Quinn says: “Our international arbitration practice is expanding in all parts of the globe. Paris is no exception. Michael fills an immediate need.”
